How Therapy Can Help ?
-
Life is complicated, it's full of twists and turns and sometimes we lose our way. My passion is to support you along this path and honor your courage to start a process of self-discovery.
We will work together to unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life (Internal Family Systems - IFS).
-
If you are looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or are ready to move in a new direction, I look forward to finding your obstacles to reaching your goals.
-
First, we identify your stressors, and if you seek more emotional control, we can learn and practice together the 4 modules of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT): mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation.
-
While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to understand sources of pain better and resolve challenges in your life with Internal Family Systems (IFS) and reprocess past traumas to heal (EMDR) and improve your quality of Life and relationships.
-
With my training in couples therapy from experts in the field (Harvill Hendrix, John Gottman, Sue Johnson, Esther Perel) and understanding of attachment issues, I help couples get the clarity they need, practice better communication, express their love in a safe and clear way.

My Approaches
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
My preferred modality is Internal Family Systems that supports the safe exploration of a client’s inner protective system (‘protectors and exiles’). Together we discover those overworking ‘managers’, validate their positive intentions and essential roles, and update them on the current resources so they can tap into their hidden Self, their essence. We seek greater harmony inside us, heal the wounds carried by our vulnerable inner child and discard our old limiting beliefs.
When we access our Self we can experience lighter, more playful, loving, and engaged ways of being.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
In EMDR sessions, I offer ‘tappers’, held in each client’s hands to facilitate reprocessing of traumatic experiences. A few sessions can provide long-term liberation from obsolete negative beliefs.
